Dr. Douglas Black is a highly skilled and accomplished ObGyn Generalist, with interests in interventional ultrasound, early pregnancy management and supporting infertile couples. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Dundee in Scotland, before completing a four year residency at the University of Ottawa, in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Douglas received his fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, then further trained in ultrasound and became ARDMS certified. He has been involved in women’s health care for over 40 years, at several different levels. First as a resident, then a consultant, an educator, a mentor, an administrator, and finally chairing the department of Ob/Gyn in Ottawa.
